About the Course

Play therapists often struggle understanding and communicating progress in play therapy. Specifically, play therapists who consider themes in their work, including Child-Centered Play Therapy, may struggle to communicate and assess progress using abstract considerations in their work. This presentation allows play therapists to create accurate, clarified goals through the intake process with parents. Additionally, play therapists will discuss how to use agreed upon goals to measure and discuss progress in their progress notes and documentation. Lastly, play therapists will practice using play themes to discuss and measure progress through case studies.

Meet Your Instructor

Dr. Ahou Line is the founder of Parent Partnership Consulting and co-founder of a private practice in Dallas, a published author, former graduate professor, and speaker. Ahou has authored several peer-reviewed works and has been invited to speak on many topics including parent engagement and the multicultural implications of play therapy. Additionally, Ahou is the author of a forthcoming Routledge textbook which supports play therapists in their work with parents.
